    by Aristina P.

Have you ever thought what people used to wear in the 60’s? if you don’t know don’t worry! Girls in the 60’s used to wear floral, checked, plain and striped dresses. Men used to wear bell-bottomed pants and shirts. In my opinion the clothes in the 60’s were really beautiful and I would really like to wear them.

  • Friendhsip during quarantine days

    by Helen M. & Melina X.

Friendship during quarantine days is weirder than in real life. It’s difficult to have contact with our best friends. We talk every day. There are a lot of ways to talk with your friends. We can use Messenger, TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, Skype and especially Viber. We sometimes have video calls, but it isn’t as cool as the real life contact. We really miss our friends. We hope we’ll see each other soon.

  • My favorite restaurant

    by Angel N.

My favourite restaurant is “LADOFANARO”. Its location is in Trikala in a neighborhood called “Manavika”. “Manavika” are in the old town, under the castle and the clock of the city. There are different kinds of meat dishes, but my favourite one is schnitzel with fried potatoes. For desert it serves a sweet called “kormos” with vanilla ice cream. It’s delicious! On the walls of the restaurant there are many T-Shirts of basketball teams. This restaurant is my favourite and we visit it every time we go to Trikala.

  • Majestic Barcelona

    by Frank V .

A future trip you should do , is to travel to Barcelona. Barcelona is a city located in northeastern Spain. The climate is warm even in winter and in the summer outside it can reach even 45°C! There are some interesting monuments that you can see there and I suggest you definitely try the local food. Barcelona has also two stadiums. The one is the Barcelona Olympic Stadium which was the main stadium of the 1992 Summer Olympics. The other one is the Camp Nou , Barcelona's football stadium, which in fact is the largest football stadium in the world! So like I said , if you are looking forward to a holiday trip, you should go to Barcelona.

  • My best friend has four paws!

    by Melina A.

It is widely claimed that animals are able to become a person’s best company. This is definitely true and every pet owner affirms that, including me. An animal, except from the fact that it teaches us how to be responsible, it can also help from a psychological angle. Researchers have indicated that by taking care of an animal, we could encounter a majority of benefit in the daily life. When adopting a pet, a person should be more capable of dealing with emotions as isolation, loneliness and, moreover, reduces anxiety and stress. Last but not least, it is thought that by owning a pet it is easier for someone to socialize with the rest of society. Apparently, animals are our friends and our immense responsibility is to keep them happy and safe.

  • De profundis by Oscar Wilde

    by Panagiota T.

“De Profundis” is a book written in 1897 by Oscar Wilde. This book is actually a personal letter by Oscar Wilde himself when he was serving his time in prison. The letter according to his friend and lover Lord Alfred Bruse Daglas was responsible for Wilde’s conviction. Specifically their relationship made L. Daglas’s father furious and as a result he sued Wilde for homosexuality, which back then was considered a crime. In fact, this action completely destroyed Wilde’s life , because his conviction made him broke, heartbroken and heavily sick. In the letter, Wilde exposes himself by writing about his feelings and allows us to see the great and proud author free of his mask, deeply hurting during the worst time of his life. It was released in 1897 and 3 years later Wilde died because of his sickness. That was the death of a person who gave inspiration to generations and inspired the world of literature. However, in the end only one thing matters: Our fingerprints don’t fade from the lives we’ve touched.

  • Attica Zoo

    by Vassia L.

My favourite school trip took place at fourth grade of elementary school. I remember we were very happy to go to Attica Zoo, in Spata. A school trip in a park can be fun and teach you new things.

The trip began with me and my friends who were on the bus. When we arrived at the zoo, we got off the bus and entered the park. We saw flamingos, elephants, rhinos, leopards, tigers, monkeys, crocodiles, kids, hares, hippopotamus, dolphins, snakes, bats and owls. It is a huge park with animals and many trees. The staff were very friendly. I was surprised with the show of the dolphins. They played with balls like kids. For me, the most amazing part of the trip was when we took photos with the dolphins. Later, we went to the bus to go back to school.

I think everyone should visit the Attica Zoo. Next to the Zoo there are Water Slides so you can make it your excursion. Attica Zoo was very interesting and amazing. If you go, I’m sure to this will be your best visit ever!

  • My favourite beach

    by Angelos N.

My favourite beach is in Skiathos. You can play beach volley and do sea sports, but I like to see the fish with my dad and collect shells. The sea is as beautiful and clean as the sand. For those things this beach is my favourite one.

  • “The Gift of the Magi”

    by Emmelia E.

Christmas is coming in a few weeks and I would like to share my thoughts with you. When I was younger a very special book was given to me. It is one of the most well-known stories written by O. Henri, “The gift of the magi”. I’m pretty sure that you have already heard about this. But during Xmas season the meaning of this book comes to my mind. The story is about a couple that really love each other. Della and her husband Jim. They live in a small, simply furnished, cheap flat. Jim earns very little money from his job and Della tries hard to deal with it. Despite this fact, they both decide secretly to buy a gift to each other. Finally, they lose what was most valuable to them. Della cuts her hair for $20 and Jim sells his watch. The twist in the end is well known. Let’s keep this lesson in our heart and adopt their example, as it can only make us wiser.

  • A Glimpse into the Teenage World:

    by Leona M.

Teenagers face real concerns, between 13 and 19 years of age, on a daily basis as this is the most awkward growth stage of their lives. During this time, teens are exposed to some overwhelming external and internal struggles. They go through, and are expected to cope with hormonal changes, puberty, social and parental forces, work and school pressures, and so on. Many teens feel misunderstood. It is vital that their feelings and thoughts are validated and that the validation comes from their parents. Parents need to approach their children, who have been dealing with teenage growth issues, carefully and in a friendly manner to discuss the concerns.

The common teenage problems that teenagers face today are usually related to:

    • Self-Esteem and Body Image
    • Stress, Bullying, Depression
    • Cyber Addiction, Drinking and Smoking
    • Underage Sex and Teen pregnancy
    • Defiant Behaviors as well as Peer-Pressure and Competition

Not surprisingly, all of these common teenage problems are connected to one another, in some way. However it does not mean that having one would lead to the other.
